The only issue is that I cant find anything consistent about what kind of ink to use. India ink offers artist odorless, permanent, waterproof. It’s a viscosity thing – the thickest ink i have is still lower viscosity than water, the thin ink is equiv to alcohol viscosity. Im buying me a Pentel Pocket Brush Pen soon, and with some googling, found out you can manually refill them. Pitt artist pens are famous for combining a modern brush nib design with traditional India ink. Its quite capable of holding liquid Sumi ink (not india inks). The Sailor has a really good gravity feed system its quite juicy, but not as much as a real paint brush. Ink – wants to jump off the brush and flood the paper – you need to control how much goes where. I use a Sailor Brush Pen, and Ackerman Brush Pen, and have tried the ones that come with the Pilot Croquis Watercolor pencils. Premium quality India Ink will not bleed through paper. Paint – tend to want to stay on the brush and you brush it onto the paper. This set of 4 Faber Castell Primary Colors PITT Artist Brush Pens is another favorite. If this is your first time brushing you nee to know that ink on a brush act differently to paint on a brush. again, don’t fuss over it, if the soap wash runs clean then the brush is clean. Can be used with plotter pens, technical pens, crowquil pens, and brushes, and cleans easily with Rapidoeeze Pen Cleaner. It has a slower dry time than the Koh-I-Noor Acetate and Rapidraw inks, and erases with Koh-I-Lar Liquid Eraser. try to clean well up near it if you can but don’t obsess.Ħ] some inks and some brushes will stain the bristles – even after the wash it will appear “dirty”. Rapidoplot ink is an archival, waterproof ink designed for use on film.
